About me
My name is Simon Jansen, originally from Germany. I started The Tutor in 2007.
My teachings are based in three simple principles:
- Every student is unique
- Building confidence is essential
- Both you and I have to care
There are no other tutors working for me. This is my full time occupation and I usually work with over 50 students each year. I love math and physics and I love teaching it. All of the materials I use in my sessions are based on previous tests and exams. A tutor has to find a way to connect to his student.
Knowing a subject and teaching a subject are two very different things so every day I contemplate new and different ways to bring the material across.
